Household Support Fund
A second phase of the Household Support Fund scheme was announced by the Government in March 2022.
The Government has made more money available to local councils to provide further funding for households who might be struggling most with the increase in the cost of living.
If you are struggling to afford food, utility bills or other essentials then you can apply for help from the fund by clicking the button below
The money can be used for many different things such as help with food and utility costs as well as wider support needs.
In addition to the above support we are providing;
- For those that qualify, Devon County Council will continue to provided free schools meals throughout the school summer holidays
- We are making a one-off payment of £90 to householders who are of state pension age (as at qualifying date of 6 June 2022) and are in receipt of council tax reduction. The one-off payment of £90 will be in the form of a post office voucher which can be exchanged for cash. This can then be used to pay bills, pay for essential household items, clothing or any other costs. We have contacted all eligible households by letter, you do not need to contact us to receive the voucher, and you do not need to provide any personal or financial details. The voucher letter will be issued early July.
If you are of pensionable age, receive Council Tax Reduction and have received a letter from us, please be assured this letter can be trusted.
If you need urgent help with either pre-payment meters or energy bills, please get in touch with Citizens' Advice who can offer you support.
