What reference should I use when making my payment?

Planning Portal application payments - if you have already submitted planning application via the planning portal please use the reference provided by the Planning Portal - it will begin PP followed by 8 numbers .  Example:  PP01234567 and the name of the person making the payment (please note only 23 characters allowed).

Postal applications - please quote the applicant surname as shown on the application form and the site address.  Example: smith 7 high street (please note only 23 characters allowed) - please quote the name of the person making the payment instead if different from the applicant.

  • Amount: Please ensure you enter the amount with 2 numbers after the decimal point. For example - £25 has to be entered as 25.00.
  • Name and Address: Please enter enough details for us to identify you and your payment.
  • Credit Card: We are unable to accept American Express, Diners Club or JCB credit cards.
  • Debit Card: We are unable to accept electron debit cards
  • Receipts: These can be emailed to you, or you have the option to print your receipt once the transaction has been completed.

    When you have made your payment on the next screen, please email a copy of the receipt to dm@swdevon.gov.uk so we have proof of your payment on our records.  You can also send yourself a copy of the receipt for your records
