A vacancy has arisen for a Mobile Locality Officer in West Devon, and this is an exciting opportunity to join an evolving team within an ambitious and progressive organisation.

The Locality team is at the heart of the Council, carrying out inspections and gathering evidence on behalf of key service areas. Equipped with a vehicle and a tablet, the role of the Mobile Locality Officer is integral to the innovative way in which South Hams and West Devon work together as shared authorities.

From delivering planning notices, carrying out dog patrols, to assisting vulnerable residents with benefit applications and investigating fly-tipped waste, no two days as a Mobile Locality Officer are the same. We are seeking a customer focused individual with a positive and flexible outlook to join our supportive team, carrying out a wide and varied range of inspection and investigatory work on behalf of key service areas.

West Devon Borough and South Hams District Council are shared authorities and there may be a requirement to work across both areas, ensuring best value for money for our communities and the councils.

For an informal discussion regarding this opportunity please contact Richard Easthope, Localities Team Leader by email:
