At a meeting of the South Hams Executive on 16 September Councillors received an update on the waste and recycling situation in South Hams and have reluctantly agreed to keep the suspension of garden waste in place. The Executive will review the situation when they meet again on 14 October.

Need New Recycling Equipment or Containers?


New Waste and Recycling bins and Containers

Due to increased lead times at our suppliers, our stocks of wheelie bins and seagull sacks are running low. As a result, it may take us longer to action your request.

Please note, as we have temporarily suspended the Garden Waste service, we are not currently delivering brown bins. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

If you are missing any of the new recycling containers and need a replacement, you can report this using this form. We will then arrange for replacements to be delivered.

Order Household Recycling Sacks

If you are running low on blue and clear recycling sacks you can order them online or collect them in person. Recycling sacks are no longer available for collection outside the depots.

Request a New or Additional Waste Container

Use this form if you need a new container, such as a bin or kitchen caddy, or if you need an additional bin.

Report a Lost, Stolen or Broken Waste Container

If your bin has been lost, stolen or damaged, please use this form to report it. We will repair or replace your bin.
