I have been elected as the ward councillor for South Brent, previously representing the ward of Avon and Harbourne (villages of North Huish, Diptford, and Harberton Ford) from 2007. I was elected to North Huish Parish Council in 1990 and was the Chairman for two years.
I have lived in Avonwick all my life and I am married to Christine and we have three sons, Alan, Christopher and Russell and one granddaughter named Holly.
My background is in agriculture and currently I am a dairy and sheep farmer on our family farm.
I attended South Brent Primary School followed by KEVICS in Totnes and I did further education at Bicton Agricultural College.
I was a member of the Totnes Young Farmer's Club for around 10 years. I am a committee member of the Totnes and District Show which is held annually.
I am interested in walking on the South West Coastal Path and on Dartmoor.
