The Place Survey is one of a number of ways in which the Council gains feedback from our residents. Every Local Authority has been required to carry out the survey where residents were asked to provide their views on a wide variety of issues. These ranged from their use of local services to general health and well being; and from support for older people to tackling crime.
In the South Hams, out of a random sample of 3000, we had around 1500 responses to the survey which was a very encouraging response rate.
The results are currently being broken down into Ward profiles and will be published, together with the national comparison data, in due course.
