Councils have a statutory requirement under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 to produce an Annual Monitoring Report (AMR) by 31st December of each year, containing information on:
- progress in the preparation of Local Development Documents against the timetable and milestones in the Local Development Scheme (LDS)
- the extent to which adopted policies are being achieved
- housing
- economy
- accessible services (including transport)
- the environment.
The report also presents an account of existing 'saved' policies form the 1996 Local Plan. It also presents an analysis of LDF Monitoring Indicators that include the national core indicators and a series of local indicators to monitor the implementation of the Council's emerging LDF Core Strategy.
