The South Hams Strategic Partnership comprises representatives from a wide range of organisations and agencies that deliver services at a local level in the South Hams. The Partnership was formed to deliver the South Hams Community Strategy (2003-2006) and through working together the organisations involved aim to improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the people of the South Hams.
Remit of the Partnership:
To identify areas where working together across service and organisational boundaries has the potential to deliver greater benefit for the people of the South Hams.
Aims of the Partnership:
- Improve strategic co-ordination and communication between key agencies and organisations serving and supporting the people of the South Hams;
- Promote social, economic and environmental well-being;
- Steer and champion the delivery of the South Hams Sustainable Community Strategy.
The Partnership has a Steering Group to monitor and measure progress towards delivering the South Hams Sustainable Community Strategy. Key members of the Steering Group include:

Community Partnership Forum
The Partnership also has a Community Partnership Forum, which comprises many community groups, stakeholder groups and other local, county and regional organisations with an interest in the South Hams. For a list of organisations represented please refer to
