Red Tree submitted a planning application to South Hams District Council and Plymouth City Council in December 2006.  Amendments to the application were submitted to the two Councils in the form of an Adenda in May 2009.  These are available to view on the Council's website or from Red Tree's website.

Members of South Hams District Council and Plymouth City Councils Development Control Committee, considered the ammendments to the proposal on the 31st July 2009 and 28th July 2009 respectively.  The SHDC officers report is available to view here.  The PCC officer report is available to view here.

Both South Hams District Council and Plymouth City Council resolved to grant outline planning permission for the New Community subject to the completion of a section 106 legal agreement.  The minutes  from the SHDC meeting are available to view here.  Minutes from the PCC meeting are also available to view here.

The completion of the legal agreement and the issuing of the planning permission is likely to be around the end of October.  These will be available on this website when completed.  The likely Heads of Terms to form the agreement and relevant planning conditions can be viewed in the appendices to the committee reports.

A duplicate application was submitted by Red Tree to South Hams District Council and Plymouth City Council on 27 March 2008. This is a duplicate of the December 2006 application and has a seperate reference number and period in which to be determined. The application is available to view on the Council's website.
