We are currently working to introduce trade waste recycling services to our Trade Waste Services.

We began a small trade waste recycling trial for paper and cardboard in Totnes town centre, to help us to establish how many businesses would use a recycling service if we introduced it throughout the district and to show us what impact this would have on our trade refuse collection service.  The paper and cardboard collections are still running in Totnes town centre, although we have not yet expanded the scheme.

If you are an existing customer of South Hams District Council’s trade waste service, you may remember us contacting you recently to ask you if you already recycle any of your trade waste and if we did introduce a recycling service, would you use it and what would you like to be able to recycle.  The results of this survey will be used to help shape the future of trade waste recycling in the district.
