Within Kingsbridge, a masterplanning exercise has been carried out to ensure that the funding allocations are used in a way that will provide the greatest benefits for the community, including residents, those living in the wider area and visitors to the town.
South Hams District Council and Kingsbridge Town Council are working closely together on this project, and along with Mor Design, a Cornwall-based landscape design company. A masterplan has been produced for improving the town’s parks and open spaces. A number of consultation events took place, and some exciting plans have taken shape.
South Hams District Council is liaising with East Allington, Frogmore & Sherford and Loddiswell Parish Councils to ensure that the allocations made provide the greatest benefits for the community. Where appropriate, there may be opportunities to explore additional funding to further improve facilities.
