The biggest shake-up in licensing law since the introduction of permitted hours in the First World War came into effect on 24th November 2005 when the Licensing Act 2003 was implemented.
Under the Act, Local Authorities have replaced the Licensing Justices as the licensing authority for the provision of alcohol, in addition to their existing licensing responsibilities for entertainment.
All those involved with the sale of alcohol and holding licences for the sale of alcohol, public entertainment, theatre, cinema, late night refreshments or who are registered members’ clubs or businesses selling hot food late at night will be involved.
For information on the following licences please contact us at South Hams District Council.
