Safer Food Better Business
As a partnership, the South Hams and Teignbridge Council’s Environmental Health Food Safety Teams have been awarded funding from the Food Standards Agency to provide FREE workshops and support to their small catering businesses to meet new laws coming into effect in January 2006. New laws require all food businesses to have a food safety management system in place to ensure that food is produced hygienically.
SFBB is a novel, simple and jargon free tool kit developed by the Food Standards Agency, the catering industry and local authorities which will assist small catering businesses meet the new legal requirements.
The tool kit comprises of a free information pack and a diary which allow basic records to be kept.
