Your grey bin is for anything that can’t be recycled or composted.
No items that can be recycled in the blue or clear sacks should be put into your grey bin and only properties that do not have wheeled bins should put any food or garden waste in the grey bin.
If you are able to take your glass bottles and jars to a recycling bank, we would ask you to do so. If you are unable to get to a recycling bank then you can put glass into your grey bin.
We will only collect waste that will fit into the grey bin and won’t collect any extra sack or other items left next to your grey bin. If you recycle and compost everything possible and still find that your grey bin is not big enough, please contact us.
If your grey bin is stolen or damaged we will replace or repair it, free of charge.
The waste that we collect from the grey bins is sent to landfill sites. We use both Heathfield landfill site, near Kingsteignton and Chelson Meadow landfill site in Plymouth.
