The South Hams is fortunate to be home to some of the most environmentally friendly people in the country.  We know you want to save as much waste as possible from landfill and we will do as much as we can to support you in achieving that, by providing the right information and advice.

If a resident persistently refuses to recycle, South Hams District Council has the power to issue a fine or even take legal action.  This is not something that we want to do and these options are looked upon as last resorts.
