What is being done to reduce crime and disorder and anti-social behaviour in the South Hams?
The South Devon and Dartmoor Community Safety Partnership
The Community Safety Partnership (CSP) is made up of statutory and voluntary organisations working together to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in South Hams, Teignbridge, and West Devon.
Our 2011/12 local priorities are:
Anti-social behaviour, which includes public disorder/nuisance, criminal damage, and anti-social driving.
Alcohol misuse - particularly alcohol related crime/anti-social behaviour.
We also work with partnerships across Devon to tackle issues such as drugs misuse, youth crime, prejudice related crime, and domestic violence.
Local Delivery Plan
The CSP has agreed a Local Delivery Plan which sets out what action is being taken to address the local priorities:
The CSP is keen to ensure that the public are aware of how crime and disorder is being addressed within the three districts, although crime is extremely low in these areas. The latest newsletter gives information about the Partnership and projects that are taking place to address the priorities listed above:
