The Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 requires all local planning authorities to prepare a Local Development Scheme. This should set out details of each of the Local Development Documents (LDDs) they intend to produce, and the timescales and arrangements for their production. Collectively these LDDs will make up the Local Development Framework (LDF) for the area. The LDS is reviewed on a regular basis and the latest version was approved by Government Office for the South West/The Planning Inspectorate and brought into effect in April 2007.
The South Hams Local Development Scheme. It explains:
- The new documents the Council intends to produce which will make up the South Hams LDF
- The subject matter and geographic area for each of the documents
- The timetable for the preparation of each document.
