1App Planning Application and other Forms

We encourage you to submit your planning application on line via the national Planning Portal.

Alternatively you can download the forms below and return the completed application to us by post.  If you submit your application to us in paper form, it would be very helpful if you could provide a copy of your application documents (as PDF's) to us on CD to enable us to upload the application quickly to our website.

Please make sure you have checked our validation checklists before submitting your application. If you do not send all the information we need, your application will be deemed invalid.

A design and access statement is required with most planning applications and all listed building consent applications. Location plans - Every planning application needs a plan showing the location and boundaries of the site you are going to work on:

The planning portal - Buy a Plan

Promap - the Planning Administration at South Hams District Council by contacting 01803 861122 or directly through Promap  by registering on their website.

There is a charge for obtaining site location plans through any of these services.

Usually for an application in an urban area a plan at a scale of 1:1250 is required and in rural areas 1:2500.  Block plans at 1:500 and other scales may also be available.
