Those who are providing care and fulfil the following criteria will be disregarded when assessing the number of adults in a property for Council Tax: The person providing care must

• live in the same property as the person for whom care is being provided,
• provide care for at least 35 hours per week on average.

The person receiving care

• must be in receipt of one or more of the allowances or pensions shown on the application form,
