Development Control Core Policies

The Development Control Core Policies will be an important document in the South Hams Local Development Framework (LDF). It contains a suite of policies to guide decisions on planning applications, with policies on design, development boundaries and renewable energy and other matters. The Council published a Core Strategy and Policies, Issues and Preferred Options report – “The Strategy” – for comment in October 2004 as the first part of this process. The Council published a Preferred Options report in July 2007 which was available for comment over a six week period.

A Sustainability Appraisal Report accompanies the DCCP: Preferred Options Report which sets out the findings of the SA.
