The Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) sets out the Council's detailed approach for securing planning obligations.  The draft Planning Obligations SPD was available for comment over a six week period which ran from 29th August to 4pm on 10th October 2008.

Sustainability Appraisal

The draft Planning Obligations SPD has been subject to a Sustainability Appraisal (SA), incorporating Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) during it's preparation. A Sustainability Appraisal Report accompanies the draft Planning Obligations SPD which sets out the findings of the SA.

The draft Planning Obligations SPD is available on this website by using the links above. It is also available to view using the Council's LDF consultation portal.

This document, is also available for public inspection at the Council offices, Follaton House, Totnes on Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:00 and Friday 09:00 - 16:30 and at the public libraries within the district.

What Happens Next?

The Council is currently considering the representations received on the draft Planning Obligations SPD and expects to adopt the SPD at the end of 2008.
