Graffiti and vandalism are illegal, anti-social activities that create negative impressions of an area and can contribute to people's fear of crime, deter visitors and tourists, cost a great deal to tackle/remove, increase insurance/security costs, and thereby reduce investment opportunities and the District's commercial attractiveness.
Who do I report incidents to ?
Incidents of vandalism and graffiti of the District's :-
- toilets
- parks and open
- car parks
should be reported to South Hams District council on either 01803 861234 or by email to customer.services@southhams.gov.uk
Any vandalism of roads, street furniture, bus shelters, lamp posts etc can reported to Devon County Council
Alternatively, if in doubt who to report an incident of vandalism or graffiti to or if it is occuring on non-council property should be reported to the police where applicable.
