Council Plan 2007

Our Council/Performance Plan is issued annually. The Plan has a comprehensive review of our past performance and looks at key highlights.

Council Performance Plan for South Hams District Council for 2007.
The document provides an overview of what we as a Council do for the district and how we have been working towards achieving our aims and agreed priorities and how we propose to keep meeting our targets in future years. You will also be able to compare our performance with that of other Councils to see how we are performing locally and nationally.

 Provides information on the Council Political structure. Councillor names are provided for all wards within the South Hams.
Information is provided on the Council management team and the services that the Council provides for all who live, work in or visit the South Hams. Corporate and service standards are also detailed to explain what you should expect from a public facing service.

 This section provides you with summary information on the strategies that are considered to be key in service provision and key outcomes for the South Hams. Each strategy summary also highlights which Council Priorities and cross cutting themes they contribute to. Links are provided to relevant documents.

 Information detailing how we are working towards meeting our priorities focusing on ‘issues affecting the South Hams’, ‘context information’, ‘Council’s key activities’, ‘achievements’, ‘public opinion and satisfaction’ and ‘performance measures’

This section will explain the importance of the Council reviewing the services it provides. It also explains why external assessment is essential for Central Government to judge how the Council is performing both generally and against statutory regulations.

Is split into 2 sub sections:

This section provides information on the Council’s performance in the last year and also looking back to the previous year’s performance. This section aims to provide an overview of performance on a wide range of services that are provided to you. The table details our performance against national and local targets and an update on progress with targeted objectives.

Provides a financial summary, which includes an overview of how we the Council managed its finances in 2006/07 and details of spending plans for 2007/08.
