What do we do in Electoral Registration?
- Conduct a canvass of every property within the district between September and November each year.
- Publish a revised Edited and Full Register of Electors annually on 1st December and maintain a rolling register between 1st December and 1st September.
- Deal with all aspects of electoral registration.
- Maintain the list of permanent and temporary absent voters and deal with new applications and requests for applications, in accordance with statutory timetables.
- Deal with boundary reviews and implement boundary changes.
- Ensure the proper disposal of the dead in accordance with the Public Health Act 1984
- Maintain the Council’s copy of the Devon County Council Register of Common Land for inspection by members of the public.
- Implement new legislation within a statutory timetable.
