Our Aim
To provide cost effective financial management that adds value to the delivery of services throughout the Council.
What we do
- Co-ordinate the budget setting process and provide high quality financial advice to officers and members
- Monitoring of income and expenditure
- Prepare the Council’s accounts in compliance with relevant legislation
- Provide a comprehensive exchequer function which includes the payment of creditors, management of the Council’s investment portfolio, administration of the Council’s insurance arrangements and management of the Council’s bank and VAT accounts
- Provide an internal audit service, which contributes to the Council’s system of internal control.
