The Council published an Area Action Plans/Site Specific Allocations: Issues, Options and Preferred Options report - "Town & Village" - for comment in October 2004. This Local Development Framework (LDF) document sets out the possible and preferred sites for housing and employment development at the main towns and a number of villages. It also covers the proposed new community at Sherford together with other development required in the South Hams immediately adjoining Plymouth.
Area Development Plan Documents (DPDs)
The Council is also preparing a number of other area specific LDF documents including Development Plan Documents (DPDs) for Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Totnes and the Plymouth Urban Fringe. Details of when these documents will be published are available in Local Development Scheme.
