Please make sure you have checked our validation checklists before submitting your application. If you do not send all the information we need, your application will be deemed invalid.

A design and access statement is required with most planning applications and all listed building consent applications. Please refer to our information on Design and Access statements for detailed information or if you are submitting an application for works or extension to a dwelling then also refer to our householder design and access statement form

Location plans

Site location plans can be obtained from the Planning Admin Administration at South Hams District Council by contacting 01803 861122 or directly through Promap by registering on their website.  There is a charge for obtaining site location plans through either of these services.

Usually for an application in an urban area a plan at a scale of 1:1250 is required and in rural areas 1:2500.  Block plans at 1:500 and other scales may also be available.
