All accommodation promoted by the Council through it’s visit south devon website and through its other tourism publicity must be graded through one of the nationally recognised rating schemes. It is also a condition to join our Green Tourism Business Scheme. This ruling means that we can participate in county, regional, national and international marketing campaigns, organised by the “official” tourism authorities.
It is well worth bearing in mind that the fee for the grading is not just to cover the cost of the inspection visit, but there are additional marketing benefits that come with each organisation’s package that makes it an investment well worth considering.
