Register-a-Location

South West Screen are always looking to expand their locations library, so they'd love to hear from owners of the following categories of property:

Ultra-modern properties, perhaps architect designed
Period properties with period interiors
Large manor houses/mansions
Properties that could double for foreign locations
Unique or quirky properties
Isolated coastal houses

It is important to remember that the property's rooms do have to be spacious in order to accommodate the crew and equipment, and that you have good access and parking.

As the owner of a property used for filming, you will be entitled to charge the production a fee. This should be worked out between you and the production's location manager, as we do not broker location fee negotiations, and depending on the scale and type of production, could be hundreds of pounds per day.

However, you should also consider the implications of opening your property up to the disruption filming. South West Screen provide guidelines for the use of private property for filming for more information.

To register
Registration in the Location Library is free and South West Screen do not charge a commission if your property is used. Although they deal with many hundreds of production enquiries each year, each production's requirements are unique and they cannot guarantee that they can match a production to your location.

If you are interested in registering with them, please email Emma Scott a brief description of your property, your address, and 6-8 images of the location, both interior and exterior and one image to give some idea of its setting (by a road, in a village, isolated in woodland etc). If your property is suitable they will send you their registration form to complete and return which will give them further details about the location's features and they will ask for more images for the Location Library.
