The Tourism Forum meets two to three times per year to agree the broad thrust of the area's current marketing and tourism initiatives, for business networking and to advise South Hams District Council and other regional/national agencies on topical matters of concern affecting the tourism industry. Meetings are chaired jointly by a South Hams District Council Councillor and a private sector tourism representative.
Free membership of the South Hams Tourism Forum is available to anyone with an interest in tourism within the area. Meetings are held 2-3 times a year out of season.
Industry and business colleagues come together:
- to agree the broad thrust of the area's marketing activities
- to discuss topical issues affecting business
- to advise the Council and lobby other Government agencies on matters of concern
- to network and socialise with other businesses.
