Increasing the prosperity of the people who live and work in the South Hams must include measures to increase the quality and value of the services and products provided in the district. This requires improved staff training, leading to improved earnings and a corresponding increase in disposable income available to be spent locally.
A significantly greater proportion of the South Hams workforce hold work related qualifications than nationally, regionally or countywide.
